Honeydukes Candy Shop at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Honeydukes sweet shop was one of my favorite spots to experience “off the pages” of the Harry Potter books on our recent trip since not only could you see every thing you read about or watched in the movies, but you could also literally taste the candy creations as well making it all the more 100% incredibly real.
It’s true the pages of Harry Potter literally come to life at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It was simply breathtaking to walk the streets of this world I’ve lived until now mostly in my imagination and of course via the big screen. Honeydukes is a MUST stop shop when at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The candy is not cheap, but it is delicious, beautiful to look at, and will instantly immerse you into the world of Potter.
The iconic candies and sweets at Honeydukes are basically exact replicas of those spotted in the movies and written about in the books. Our VIP tour guide Eliza told us that J.K. Rowling literally had her hands in everything when Universal developed this park which is way it is so “real” and honestly just perfect.
Chocolate Frogs – complete with trading cards and Every Flavor Beans were the kids picks to sample for taste & souvenirs.
Look how the packaging is exactly as it is in the movie. Kenzie’s trading card for her Chocolate Frogs ($9.95) turned out to be Slytherin. Yikes! She’s also sporting a sweet chocolate tooth in this photo! Our guide Eliza told us that there each of the Chocolate Frogs contain 1 of 4 trading cards and that each card features 1 of the founders of the 4 houses- Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff or Slytherin.
The Every Flavor Beans sell for $10.95 and truly there is every flavor – from earwax to earthworm included. Luckily there is a small guide to help you decipher which bean you might like or dislike. If you are brave you can just nibble away. Earthworm was NOT a hit with the kids and both spit it out.
Kenzie and Kyle found Honeydukes amazing as expected too. What kid doesn’t go gaga for a candy shop?
Here’s the back alley behind the shop- complete with a staff only entrance.

A few more delicious treats. My favorite to eat were the Peppermint Toads. Divinely delicious!!!!!
Disclosure: Thanks to Universal Orlando for providing my family and I complimentary park passes and a VIP guided tour through their theme parks. As always all thoughts and opinions are my own.
