Getting Creative with Lego Crazy Action Contraptions #KlutzBooks

While we’re hunkering down preparing for Hurricane Sandy to hit Philadelphia, the kids are are loving all the activities I’ve got stocked up for them to explore thanks to our new collection of Klutz Books. Klutz titles are SUPER FUN for the entire family as they enable kids to create some wonderful projects and encourage them to use their own imagination too.

This morning Kyle and Kenzie are diving into the Lego Crazy Action Contraptions. The book comes with 105 Lego bricks for kids ages 7+ along with a book complete with detailed instructions on 16 projects to create everything from “Bored Games” to Ziplines to Lego Launchers.

Kenzie and Kyle actually most enjoy using their own imagination with the gears, wheels, pegs, and bands included to create their own imaginative designs.

They’ve been building elaborate vehicles and even one they considered to be a gas trunk.

Kenzie, age 7, also had fun building some mini board games – Brick Tac Toe and Connector Solitaire.

Here’s Kenzie’s version of the Zip Line too. And what’s nice is that although there are specific directions to design any contraption, kids can really also let their imaginations go wild and just follow some of the directions to give them ideas- and then basically create their own version of so called “Zip Line” which is what Kenzie did here. She was so proud of this!

I’m thrilled to be on the Klutz Crew this holiday season to showcase and test out some of the incredible Klutz activity books for kids. These make perfect holiday gifts at a reasonable price – $15-$22 for most titles. Here’s a bunch of our other favorite Klutz titles that we’ve been playing with this Fall and that I recommend for kids and families.

To learn more, you can like Klutz on Facebook or visit Klutz.com to browse all their fun titles.

Enter the Wrap It Up With Klutz! Sweepstakes for a chance to win some prizes too!

Check out the Wrap It Up with Klutz!Sweepstakes too. They are giving away 1000 prizes over the next 10 weeks – 10 fans each week will win a prize pack featuring 10 Klutz Books!

What’s fun about the sweepstakes is you can enter once per week because the prizing changes out every Monday featuring new themes touching on the wide
variety of titles Klutz has to offer – Science, Games, Classic Crafts, Holidays and more! The weekly sweeps start every Monday and fans can enter
through November 26. You can enter the Klutz Sweeps here.

More of Kyle’s building creations today. Kyle is almost 5 so following the directions step by step wasn’t his thing as this particular book is officially geared for kids 7+. However, truly the beauty of Klutz is that the designs can be quirky and kids of all ages – and adults can have fun as a family with projects.

  • The term “megawatt-hour” is also gaining ground in both industry
and also through public interest and public awareness campaigns.
We all identify that the items in our home consume electrical energy.
With three panels, you will produce 405 watts – less
than 20% of what you need.
