"And though she be but little, she is fierce."-Shakespeare She may not be the biggest kid on the blocks at only 66 pounds, but she has so much heart, determination and never gives up. Proud Mom! I absolutely LOVE this photo from YMCA states of my little girl Kenzie grabbing 2nd place in the 50 FLY for her 10 & under age group. After a really tough year, it was wonderful to see her hard work and persistence over so many obstacles pay off. This

What a difference 1 year makes!  I'm so proud and happy for my little swimmer. This past weekend Kenzie swam in her biggest most competitive meet ever - the Mid Atlantic Region Junior Olympics and did amazing! Swimmers from the states of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware can qualify for the meet and then come together for a big championship style meet. The stars aligned for a wonderful day.  This time last year she missed this special Junior Olympic swim meet with a partially collapsed

Do your girls love mermaids? Kenzie is CRAZY about them so I knew when I saw this Mermaid Swimsuit by the Finals I had to buy it for her. It looks adorable at swim team practice or on the beach. Kenzie was styling in her mermaid suit in Turks & Caicos last week. With all our travels, we always get lots of questions over email or Twitter about this swimsuit when people see it in photos. He now loves loves loves his swim lesson each week. The fear has finally left and with each week come new improvements.  The strokes are not yet pretty, but who cares! He is swimming! The last 2 lessons,  he's even done 10 LAPS including laps of both

Check out this amazing program that teaches infants and very young children life saving skills that will allow them to survive if they fall into water. My best friend Kerry shares her story - and this AMAZING video of her little girl Sophia floating and swimming. Sophia is just over 1 years old - notice she is wearing clothing and shoes to make her life saving water skills even more realistic for those that a toddler will face. This program is incredible and I

Genius idea to create Zip Up rash guard shirts. Let me tell you it is a TON easier to take off a zip up rash guard than pulling those shirts over tiny heads! We're excited to share this line of UPF 50+ swim wear from SwimZip. These block block 99% of those cancer causing UVA and UVB rays. Kyle's is modeling a SwimZip suit and top today at his swim lesson. SwimZip suits are sold as matching sets that come complete with both bottoms and super cute

Hope everyone had a marvelous 4th of July. We ate our hot dogs and chilled by the pool and it's hard to believe summer is just about at it's mid point. We had a super relaxed 2 days full of swimming, more swimming, and lots of fireworks & smoke bombs. Our next few weeks will be super busy but hopefully we'll be able to squeeze in lots more BBQ's, games of tennis, and of course time by the water  - especially now that Kyle is starting
